If You Are Driving...
From the Capital Beltway: Take exit 7A south on Md. Rt. 5 (Branch Avenue). Go 5 miles on Rt. 5 and turn left on Surratts Road. Take the second right onto Hospital Drive.
From Rt. 301 Southbound: Follow Rt. 301 to Frank Tippet Road. Make a right. Make your next left onto Surratts Road. Go about 3 miles, then make a left onto Hospital Drive.
From Rt. 5 Northbound: Follow Rt. 5 to traffic light at Surratts Road. Turn right. Make second right onto Hospital Drive.

The Southern Maryland Hospital Center Transport Van is a convenient way to access outpatient health care services at Southern Maryland Hospital Center and Health System when personal transportation is not available. Please contact the outpatient program you plan to visit; they must contact us to schedule a pickup time for the day of your appointment. There is no charge.

When You Arrive...
Visitor Parking All parking is free of charge. Visitors may park in the spaces located in front of the hospital. Please do not park in reserved spaces or in the Fire Circle around the main entrance of the hospital, which is intended for patients that are being picked up by a friend or family member. All cars parked in a reserved spot or in the Fire Circle will be towed at the owners’ expense.
Regular Admissions If you are to be admitted to the hospital, you may be dropped off at the Main Entrance of the hospital. Please sign in at the Front Desk, then proceed to the Admissions office directly on your left.
Outpatient Surgery If you are coming to the hospital for surgery, enter at the Main Entrance of the hospital. Please sign in at the Front Desk and check in at the Admissions office
Outpatient Services If you are coming to the hospital for pre-op testing. please report to room 107 in the Professional Building.

Southern Maryland Hospital Cafeteria The cafeteria is located on the ground floor and is open as follows: Breakfast, 9:00-10:00 a.m.; Lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; Dinner, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Breakfast is not served on Sunday.
Gift Shop The Hospital Gift shop, located just off the main lobby, is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. seven days a week. The shop provides cards, magazines, flowers and a variety of gifts and candy.
