Basic rehabilitation services are generally divided into four groups:
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation helps manage musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitative care and pain intervention, and performs electrodiagnostic studies. On-site doctors provide expertise through personal consultations and medical direction.
Physical Therapy evaluates and treats health problems resulting from illness or injury. Therapists assess joint motion, muscle strength, endurance and postural problems, and perform pain management with the ultimate goal of more functional living for patients.
Occupational Therapy helps patients re-learn or compensate for activities of daily living that have been disrupted by accident or illness. Services are provided for individuals with mental, physical, sensory, visual and cognitive deficits.
Speech-Language Pathology provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to patients with impairments of speech, language, voice and swallowing.
