The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center here at SMHC, is a multidisciplinary approach toward recovery, prevention and treatment of our participants. We will provide information and support to meet the day-to-day challenges of living with certain disorders.
The program emphasizes heart and lung fitness, nutritional and psychological care, and occupational concerns.
The intended outcome of participation in the program is an improved cardiovascular and pulmonary functioning, decreased health risks, a greater awareness of and compliance with proper diet, decreased stress and knowledge of safe exercise guidelines.
Individuals most appropriate for this program are those who have certain forms of heart and or lung complications. Talking with your doctor or us, will identify your appropriateness for the program. Sessions are held in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department at SMHC, located on the first floor. Patient Sessions are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s, at times setup and designed to try and meet the needs of our participants.
